From Petersburg

After Ketchikan, we tried to escape heavy winds and currents by visiting Misty Fiords National Monument, a 5-million-acre rainforest and mountainous wonder.  Pictures cannot do it justice.

approaching "punch-bowl, a fabulous little bay completely surrounded by 600-foot vertical walls and cascading waterfalls

More shore duty

18 big ones!

Crab quesedillas,, cracked crab, crabcakes and crab omelets!

An anchorage we didn't want to leave!
Then on toward Wrangle with some lovely anchorages along the way.  The sun finally came out in Wrangle Bay and we actually got all three sails up with adequate wind to sail for most of the afternoon.  We are in Petersburg now, doing the usual thing...laundry, blog, provisions, and relaxing with a great dinner of crabcakes! Our best wishes to JJ, who turns 5 on July 4, and to Naomi, John's daughter whose birthday was yesterday!  We love you.
